Fuck you, Jonathan Weisman.

My guess is that they’ll move him to copy editor in charge of headlines…

I guess it makes sense to keep him on board for balance, he displays all the stupidity of Trump followers, and they also entitled to representation…

Not surprising considering how much that paper bends over backwards to engage in false equivalency or just outright pander to racists. They were so not ready for the current political environment

“Weisman first came under fire last week when he tweeted that Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Ilhan Omar (D-MN) weren’t truly from the Midwest and Reps. Lloyd Doggett (D-TX) and John Lewis (D-GA) weren’t truly from the Deep South because all four reps come from metropolitan cities.”

Clearly, John Lewis doesn’t know anything about the “Deep South”.

From the proud paper that brought us Whitewater. A decent editorial section, but their news editors and writers generally lack all proportion and judgment.

I’m gonna give him another Fawk You! Lloyd Doggett is my congressperson and he’s doing just fine—this dude from NYT’s trolling for a fight.

*nice to see ya :wave:t3: Dr Coyote!

I’ll be impressed when they give the can to Bari Weiss.

This reminds me of the time I participated in a Shalom Minneapolis event, which welcomes newcomers to the area. I was asked which congregation I might be thinking of joining. Never having belonged to one before, I said “Er … Reform?” The response was “Oh well, you’re not really Jewish.”

Why does the NYT have such a critter working there as an editor?

I thought from that first tweet about the Midwest and South that he didn’t deserve the position he held. He’s only made it worse.

Two pieces of advice:

  1. “Do. Not. Seek. The. Treasure.”
  2. “Do. Not. Mess. With. Roxane. Gay.”

For sure John Lewis is from the Deep South. He’s from Troy, Alabama. I have family there and when I met him recently we spoke about Troy.

Weisman, go fuck yourself.

And Bret Stephens
And Ross Douthat
And David Brooks
And Tom Friedman

And Pinche Sulzberger

Actually, getting rid of Sulzberger might solve a lot of the Times’ problems.

I’m having trouble reading between the lines. Is this about Real America or economic anxiety?
