The New York Stock Exchange and The Nasdaq will be closed on Monday as Hurricane Sandy bears down on the East Coast, CNN reports. The NYSE originally planned to stay open. It will be the first time the NYSE has closed since Sept. 11, 2011. The stock exchange rarely shuts down for weather-related emergencies, the report adds:
