New York City Police Commissioner Dermot Shea announced on Sunday that an officer who was filmed using his cruiser’s loudspeaker to repeatedly yell “Trump 2020” in several viral videos has been suspended without pay.
What are the chances that the officer will be a featured guest on an upcoming MAGA rally?

Well, I’m old enough to remember “Giuliani-Time” growing up in NYC so this type of behavior by cops doesn’t surprise me in the least.
The proliferation of hard right-wingers in law enforcement is a serious problem. Here’s an email from a good friend of mine:
“My state cop brother is beyond right wing. He’s literally preparing for some kind of post-election world where we’re in armed camps. He LOVES Tucker Carlson. We can’t talk about this stuff.”
I wouldn’t want to be Driving While Black or even driving with a Biden/Harris bumper sticker and be stopped by that guy. And this state trooper is in the bluest of blue states.
Thereby demonstrating one of the many ways to get yourself fired.

To me, this is tabloid stuff. Here’s story that should be a huge campaign issue for the Biden camp:

The NYPD openly embraced Trump in kind through an unusual endorsement by its union, the Police Benevolent Association (PBA), in August. PBA President Pat Lynch noted, “I cannot remember when we’ve ever endorsed for the office of President of the United States until now. That’s how important this is.”
These are mutually exclusive positions.
The funny thing, though, is that Trump does not support cops - especially in blue states. But I guess it might be difficult to convince someone holding a loud speaker and a gun of that.
