New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said during a press conference Tuesday afternoon that residents should be “prepared right now for the possibility of a shelter in place order” but added that the “decision has not happened yet.”

Screw that. I’m headed to as many drive-thru bars as I can find.

Be prepared ? Might want to give a thumbnail sketch of what this “shelter in place” would mean specifically …

So is Trump Tower is being offered as a refuge? Wonder what the rack rate will be?

Going to get groceries, seeking medical attention, bringing a dog to a veterinarian or picking up medication are all activities that officials consider essential. Residents working in the healthcare field will be able to go to and from their jobs. Workers with jobs such as garbage collection will be able to continue their work.

The order also allows for outdoor exercise, “provided that the individuals comply with social distancing requirements”.

“With this order in place, you will still be able to get food, care for relatives, run necessary errands and conduct the essential parts of your life,” said Dr Grant Colfax, the director of the San Francisco department of public health. “You will still be able to walk your dog or go on a hike alone or with someone you live with or even with another person as long as you keep six feet between you.”

Now, now, Nunes of that now…

This is going to be tough. We have really loud, crazy and rude neighbors who seem to delight in tormenting others. I may have to employ the subwoofer in innovative ways.

Pretty notable how the calculus has changed once the decision to close the city schools was made. There was so much resistance to taking that first step, but now that NYC has grasped the enormity of the challenge it seems that every possibility is on the table now.

Disco always works in a pinch. Unless that violates the Geneva Convention. It should.

I wonder if de Blasio will hit the gym before the order is given, since he was just there a day or two ago . . .

Anyone showing symptoms or what could be symptoms? I’ve taken to taking my temperature several times a day and it’s ranged from 98.0 to 99.4, probably not even borderline fever but on the borderline of being borderline, a very, very slight chest thing, like an incipient cold but extremely mild, wouldn’t even have paid it any attention were it not for this, and a slight cough once every hour or two. Could be, could be nothing, too soon to tell, and far from qualifying for one of those previous few test kits. I’m keeping my distance to the extent possible, and trying not to lick every doorknob I see.

Well in the “our side has whackos” you got the Big “E” DeBlasio. E for ego…

And this guy thought he was perfect for president. Another progressive who is full of himself and his own self righteousness is imploding before our eyes.

The contrast between Cuomo and DeBasio is rather stark at this point. One is a leader, the other a talker, with is words not applying to himself.

Sorry, as someone who felt music died when Disco was unleashed on the world, I am now out of possible Disco retorts. But, carry-on.
