That Cuomo is corrupt is no surprise. The only surprising thing is that he hasn’t been cuaght before:

Another old Joe Biden hit piece from Salon? I gave up on Salon years ago, checked in a week before the Election. What did they feature? An interview with Ralph Nader.

I like(d) Andrew Cuomo, but it seems that he has succumbed to the arrogance of being in power for so long.

If the Dems want to effectively primary Cuomo, then let me go out on a limb and suggest not going with an entitled Manhattan actress, with Zero government experience.

For better or worse, I think the NY state Senate is about to learn that most voters are not hyper-active political Twitter users, and that Andrew Cuomo will remain broadly popular despite making some bad pandemic decisions.

The only place Biden is mentioned is in the title… with the exception of a paragraph that isn’t too far off the mark. I am not anti-Biden and he was my choice as the best presidential candidate. But one can still look at all aspects of his career and not be overwhelmed with idolatry.

Cuomo’s approval ratings have been dropping and made a big tumble - even before the nursing home scandal surfaced. Still, it is unlikely he will be dislodged.

Ralph Nader derangement syndrome? 2000 was a looong time ago. Time to let it go. Thats said…Salon who?

Sure, let’s forget vital history. Works all the time. Holocaust survivors really need to get over it; such a looooong time ago.

“Nader derangement”? Well thank God we didn’t get Al Gore as President. Heaven knows where we’d be? This site (less than Salon, to be sure) has been home for the Lost Battalion of Nader Apologists.

Not defending Cuomo at all, but what would have changed if he had been fully forthcoming with nursing home data in a timely manner? Sure wouldn’t have changed anything at the Federal level.

This seems to be a political hit because Cuomo is losing popularity, but it’s not clear to me how this would actually affect things in this pandemic or in a future emergency. Might turn out to clog things up.

You may recall that the real villains were Catherine Harris, the Supreme Court and various other professional vote suppressors.

Yes. A bad case.

A pile of horeshit, typical of Nader apologists. New Hampshire, New Hampshire, fucking New Hampshire. Nader robbed Gore of New Hampshire. On purpose. And Florida.

You have no idea what you’re talking about.

It’s one of the symptoms.

I don’t think Cuomo “succumbed” to the arrogance, I think it’s always been there. As for what he did or didn’t do, the biggest “do” is that he seemed to to give the American people more than T****. Cuomo talked about the problem, or most of it. It doesn’t mean he did a good job of handling it.
As for this 10 person commission, this bullshit. 1) it’s too many people, 2) in the time of crisis the leader has to act quickly, and 3) whatever they call the leaders of each chamber in the NY lege, those people need to appoint one person to work with the Gov.
These after action plans need to be done, and then the after action plans need to be vetted.

This is not me endorsing Cuomo, but it was nice to hear someone speak intelligently and directly to the COVID pandemic. Just remember Cuomo did what Trump wouldn’t, not couldn’t do.
