NY State Assembly Report Finds ‘Overwhelming Evidence’ Of Misconduct By Cuomo | Talking Points Memo

A long-awaited report by the New York State Assembly released Monday found “overwhelming evidence” that former Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) sexually harassed women. The report also found that he misused state resources to help produce his book and that his office was “not fully transparent” in a report about nursing home deaths during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is like turning over a log. There’s a lot of weird stuff underneath, pale grass, worms, beetles, etc. I shudder to think what would turn up under all the logs in the Republican forest.

I agree with Danny.

This is what accountability is. The 1/6 committee ought to take notice. DeSantis ought to be held to the same standards when it comes to handling of Covid, particularly nursing homes but the Republican Florida legislature obviously won’t.

None of this is news and he’s already gone. I would hope that a report like this might prevent someone like him from ever making a political comeback, but I’ve seen worse people make comebacks so, who knows?

Not surprised but saddened to see more evidence that effective government is failing on multiple levels.A good man is hard to find…that’s not just banter from girls night out…consider recent shenanigans from a myriad of Governors lately and then turn your attention to some of the frauds pissing on their responsibilities in DC…politics have always had an air of sleaziness about it but how did we get HERE?

Democrats policing their own. What a concept! And clearly beyond the capabilities - or interest - of Today’s Qpublican Party of Trump.

Three strikes, I hope he’s out, permanently. As Robert Caro wrote, “Power reveals”.

I can’t like that. I also can’t argue with it.

Thought experiment: If Cuomo announces immediately a switch of his party affiliation to Republican, will that be enough to save him from any consequences?

It’s become an industry dedicated to the generation of negative ads to destroy people’s reputations. No decent person is interested in that career.

If he also pledges allegience to that former guy, makes the pilgrimmage to Mar A La Go and kisses the, er “ring”, I don’t see why not.

I don’t believe the rule, IOKIYAR, has any allowances or exceptions for region or state.

(Some readers will have noted that our Dear Orange Criminal is also from New York and, at least so far, has faced few consequences… and he’s done what Cuomo did, AND tried to overthrow the government, so… yeah, in New York.)

That’s exactly what I had in mind when I said Tradition. Exactly :100:
