The hearing is July 10. The publication date is July 28.

So this really applies to leaks more than publication.

Prior restraint on a private citizen AND her publisher AND anyone who works with them, presumably including book shops, to prevent the publishing, printing, and distributing of a memoir… What a shameful day for the New York judiciary.

There are plentiful reasons why this should be reversed on appeal. It’s the sort of issue that’s far on the wrong side of a long-established bright line, much like a petition for mandamus to force a judge who hasn’t yet ruled on a motion he’s considering to rule a certain way.

The tRumps use NDAs and litigation to intimidate weaker opponents. They have no idea how to fight people with money and good lawyers. Mary Trump’s book will publish as scheduled.

The book is coming out on 7/28. Unless there are advance copies, Simon n Schuster has plenty of time to win this.
