“Where are my 2nd amendment people?” Oh self-dealing, taking Russian money and having its CEO buying expensive suits.

Only a good prosecutor with a subpoena can overpower a bad organization with a gun.

No Russian language version of the suit? That’s not fair!

Welp, there goes Ohio in the election, and possibly Michigan AND Wisconsin.

This is a GIFT to Trump and the Republicans, giving them something to “rend their clothing” about while screaming at the top of their voices about “2nd Amendment Rights!!!”.

and of course, the MSM will lap it up because the “optics” of a Black, Female, NY AG suing a Lilly-White, Hyper-Masculine, Ammo-Sexual, Russian-funded, ultra-conservitive organization.

Great. Just what we needed.

I was wondering what standing the NY AG would have to go after the NRA; apparently, per the complaint, the NRA is incorporated in NY state.

My thoughts exactly, unfortunately. Even if this is the right idea, the timing could not be worse. I’m majorly pissed off by this.

a pattern of law-breaking had “contributed to the loss of more than $64 million.”

How much of that was Wayne LaPierre’s suits? I mean, the ones he wears.

Can Trump issue an executive order removing New York’s AG?
JK, I know he can’t do that, but you know he is thinking about it.

According to this suit, all you need to counter a bad guy with a gun is a $6 million safe house!

So with the NRA out of play, what organization will Russia use to launder campaign money this time?

No, the hard core NRA members were never likely to vote for Biden. What this does, potentially, is remove a conduit for Russian money to support the Trump campaign like it did in 2016.

Really?

“The chief executive of the National Rifle Association and several top lieutenants engaged in a decades-long pattern of fraud to raid the coffers of the powerful gun rights group for personal gain, according to a lawsuit filed Thursday by the New York attorney general, draining $64 million from the nonprofit in just three years.”

From WaPo. These guys were stealing donations to live the high life while the poor suckers they fleeced lived in trailers. Sad.
