A Farmer a Librarian and a Lawyer walk into a bar.
The barman says
“What’ll you have?”
The Farmer says, “I’ll have a beer please.”

I will concede that Nunes is a manure spreader, but cannot go so far as to call him a farmer.

So a farmer, a librarian and a non-profit worker walked into a courtroom.

The whinging cow-herd never showed up…

Did Nunes win a year of free legal services or what? How is he justifying and paying for all of this?

Indeed. In fact, the farm labor shortages brought on by hostile, bigoted anti-immigration polices in Alabama and Georgia alone is costing agriculture tens of millions in losses. Sad.

Devin “Allhat” Nunes raised about $400,000 to file these suits. Also, his attorney, Steven Biss, once had his law license suspended and is likely working on the cheap.

“They must’ve done the research and figured out they were going to lose significantly,” the defendants’ lawyer Brian Whelan told TPM. “There’s no question it was pretty cut and dry.”

Bingo.

The Farmer mooooved for the case to be dismissed, the librarian shushed the judge, and the non-profit worker quietly pocketed all of the pens from the defense table to re-stock the office.

What about Nunes’ Cow? Was that suit dropped too?

The lawsuit was filed last month in Nunes’ home county of Tulare, alleging that the defendants — which included a farmer, a librarian and a non-profit worker — conspired with “dark money” groups in an effort to damage his reelection bid.

Wait. What? This is the GOP’s entire strategy and has been since SCOTUS legalized bribery, I mean Super-PACs.

This has to have been the biggest anticlimax of 2019.

Au contraire, he is probably charging like a “Dream Team” law firm, he will just have to kick back some of the money…

Then you’re not following the story. The VA suits continue, and he filed a new VA suit against Fusion GPS, trying for the elusive civil RICO (it almost never works).

Looks to me like a lot smoke and mirrors to make it look like something’s happening but nothing will. They’ll run a couple of training seminars about suspicious activity reports, wherein the buried text is “is the possible perp white or brown”, give out a bunch of attendance certificates and that’ll be the end of it.

Geez I hate how cynical I’ve become.

Did you not see Game of Thrones?

I don’t understand why Nunes quit before he reached peak stupidity - he and his criminal lawyer were just getting started on this embarrassing pseudo-lawsuit.
