He’s probably got a couple of FISA warrants drawn up on him.

There are plenty of serious reasons to (at the very least) reform the FISA process. But protecting QuislingBoy NunesTraitor ain’t one of them.

I wonder if Nunes knows the history of FISA and related reforms.
I doubt it.

Nunes has taken in more than $3 million in campaign donations this year. Not bad for a rural california congress district where he does not own any cows. Just who is donating those buttloads of money?

Nervous, Devin?

Mooo! Happy Impeachment Day!

Oh, sure. Something that was a-ok before is now toxic. Can’t imagine why he would believe that.

Do I think its processes need to be reviewed? Sure. But disbanded? Not so much.

Why is it the GOP’s answer to everything (ACA and now FISA) that they don’t like is to do away with it without coming up with an alternative?

FISA court is a creature of the USA Patriot Act, pushed by Republicans after 9/11 to essentially eliminate all barriers to law enforcement gathering and using information against its own citizens. The “War on Terror”. Nunes is not a history buff apparently. Let the Rs repeal this because they got caught up in it. Too funny.

I didn’t have an opinion on this until Nunes made his statement. Now I strongly feel we should never ever end the FISA court because it serves the important purpose of making Devin Nunes sad. And the other stuff it does.

This court authorized surveillance of a Russian agent who made numerous phone calls to me! This aggression must not stand! I blame the court!

They’re coming to get you, Devin…

Certainly, if they’re against it, we should be for it.

Nope, 4 California Congressmen received campaign donations from Lev and Igor. The only current Congress critter was McCarthy, the other 3 lost their re-election bids.
But that doesn’t mean that Lev and Igor didn’t “invest” in the Nunes’ businesses, now does it?

And the alternative is… allowing the President to conduct warrantless surveillance like in the Nixon days? Banning surveillance for counter-intelligence altogether?

Let’s be honest… what Nunes is calling for is a system where Trump or any President could spy on political enemies without any type of due process. The FISA Court is imperfect but eliminating it returns us to the Watergate days.

Chill moo-dude, it was his wife making the calls, and you handed it off to a staffer every time.

FISA court was established in 1978, but after 9/11 and Patriot Act it was put on steroids.

What Dev doesn’t get is that IG found problems with the warrant application, not the FISA court’s signing off on the warrant since the court relied on the information within the warrant.

And with all these Republicans in Congress saying “Hey it’s OK to receive help and $$$ from foreign countries and agents” then they surely don’t want and FBI looking into their campaigns.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact the “Grand Ol’ Party” has been completely infiltrated by foreign agents, thus the FISA court has become a prickly thorn.
