The National Republican Senatorial Committee said on Thursday that it would stop spending on Twitter ads in retaliation to the social media giant’s suspension of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) campaign account.

Twitter responds to NRSC: Who?

LOL. Moscow Mitch and NRSC look pathetic with this move. Weak.

“The NRSC will suspend all spending with Twitter until further notice,” he said in a statement to TPM. “We will not spend our resources on a platform that silences conservatives.”

More self censoring please.

My first thought
Smooth move Sherlock
Go ahead fight with the Twitter, I’m sure they’re quaking in their boots or are at least troubled or concerned
We send our thoughts and prayers

Please proceed, NRSC.

Of course, we know the real ad buy comes from the FSB.

Now if NRSC can convince their allies, Russia and the NRA, to do the same.

There’s one Rethug at the top of my list I wish they’d silence. The US would be a more peaceful place.

I think I’m missing something here. Twitter suspends McConnell because he posted a video of someone saying nasty things about McConnell??? I might support suspending McConnell on the grounds that he is nothing but a steaming pile of moral rot. But the reason given in the article seems very odd. Is there something I missed?

True dat.

Next, Team Mitch will tell twitter that they can’t come to his birthday party, either. :pouting_man:

It is strange how off Moscow Mitch and his team seem to be since his “fall”. Every move they make is bush league counter productive. Mitch seems to have lost his mojo. What a shame.:joy:

Twitter still lets Mr Trump tweet…so, er… hmmm.

That moniker is the first thing that has turned up that seems to have any traction against him. It seems to be working.

Sad! (In an Upside Down kinda way … here’s to Mitch enjoying numerous more trips.) :smiling_imp:

That’ll show ‘em NRSC. Probably 8chan will be ripe for your advertising dollars, once they come back online. Mitch’s gravestones would be a hit there.

Not sure why the NRSC bothers posting ads at all. Everyone who was planning on joining the Nazi Party already did.

More info here, but it is still weird. I think it may be a case of twitter fucking up the enforcement of their ToS: https://talkingpointsmemo.com/news/mcconnell-campaign-twitter-suspended-video-profanity

Yes, losing the NRSC will be a tragic and fatal blow to Twitter.
