The National Republican Congressional Committee raised $6 million in May and has $33.5 million cash on hand, the Committee announced Tuesday. Those numbers are down from last month, when the NRCC raised $6.9 million. The NRCC is also investing more money in six key House raises, buying $5.7 million in airtime for the fall, reports Politico. To help finance these efforts, the NRCC is launching internal fundraising project to extract money from GOP lawmakers called the Battleground Program.
