The scariest thought of all is that weâd know none of this if they hadnât started scamming each other.
Sounds like Brewer had the dirt on somebody(ies).
âEvery great cause begins as a movement, becomes a business, and eventually degenerates into a racket.â â attributed to Eric Hoffer
Iâm a bit conflicted here.
Brewer must be a sleazy shyster.
But, who better to bilk than the NRA?
Should this even be surprising? I mean youâd have to HAVE ethics first for it to be surprising.
Thoughts and prayersâŚ
Just gonna leave this here âŚ
for lack of a more specific venue â

Couldnât happen to nicer guns.
In 2016, Brewer was fined over $133,000 for attempting to influence potential jurors and witnesses in a Texas case. He denied any impropriety and has appealed the ruling, raising the total to $177,000, which the Texas Supreme Court will hear arguments on soon. In 2018, a judge found that Brewer had failed to disclose the Texas fine in an NRA suit against an insurance broker in Virginia. After the omission was reported by The Trace, a judge threw Brewer off the case.
Okay, time for a gratuitous lawyer joke.
At the start of a trial, the judge calls the counsel for both sides up for a conference. In grave tones, he informs them that, the night before, someone had left a package on his doorstep containing $5000 cash and an unsigned note urging him to rule in favor of the plaintiff. Upon arriving at his office in the morning, he finds another package, this one containing $3000 cash and an anonymous note urging him to rule in favor of the defendant.
âObviously,â the judge growls, âthis is a very serious matter. The impartiality of the court must be preserved. Therefore, in order to ensure a fair trial, I am returning $2000 to the plaintiff.â
Hey he did a report and it was the biggest most beautiful, greatest report ever!!!
WOW! Must be some report. LOL
Perhaps he could have appointed a blue ribbon committee.
What an idiot.
his law firmâs billings, which totaled $24 million over a 13-month period. In the first quarter of 2019, Brewerâs firm charged over $97,000 per day, according to internal NRA documents postedanonymously online.
How many members does the NRA have? Who gives them enough money to pay a scumbagâs law firm $97,000 per day? I hope the NY AG revokes their Not For Profit Status.
Lawyer for NRA Did Not Disclose âSeriousâ Ethics Sanction to Court Before the gun group tapped William A. Brewer III for a pair of high-stakes legal battles, he was fined for attempting to improperly influence potential jurors and witnesses in Texas.

What I havenât seen mentioned anywhere is how the members are taking all of this. They pay dues with the understanding that those dues are used to execute (pun intended) the mission of the NRA. Presumably, the mission statement doesnât include any mention of âItalian suitsâ or âhigh-priced lawyers.â Are people canceling their memberships? How many new members have been registered since this news started coming out?
