I don’t think the NRA boys see the game is over. They don’t field the refs anymore and they’ve shown way too much of their asses to expect the treatment they’ve become used to. Done.
Thoughs and Prayers??
Judge Hale does not like bad actors. This will not go well for the NRA.
Typical conservative solution to being prosecuted: throw more money at the problem and think that will fix it!
Fortunately I don’t have to associate with Judges but from what little I know of them from that limited contact they really take offense at having their intelligence insulted.
It’s an extremely rare rebuke from the office of the U.S. Trustee, and comes as the NRA tries to use chapter 11 bankruptcy to reconstitute itself in the gun-friendly state of Texas.
so unfair ™
Does anyone know if our friend Wayne is looking at the IRS digging into his tax returns regarding declaring those suits?
“Like, so unfair”
I speak of Judge Hale in particular. He is a good judtge.
This should be enough to sustain them through this troubling period.
“The N.R.A. has stated that it is seeking refuge from the New York attorney general’s actions and wishes to change its state of incorporation,”
Interesting. So if I hold up a gas station in Texas and want to seek refuge from TX Law Enforcement I can just move to Oklahoma?
Who knew?
As is traditional.
Bye Bye NRA. I agree with New York, dissolution is the only answer.
I thought the tradition was to flee to New Mexico, like John Dunne and the guy who shoots the handsome young cowboy in El Paso.
hahahahahaha
Be sure that you run over a few of “the other” on your way to Tipton.
It’s now the price of entry.
My guess is that is the plan for when Texas turns blue, for the NRA to run over a few on its way to Oklahoma.
'Twas actually a Bonnie and Clyde reference – literal gas station robbers who hid out, in large part, in Oklahoma. Besides, El Paso is a hell of a long way away from the rest of Texas.
The Trustee’s remarks reportedly stunned the NRA’s attorney in the case, Greg Garman.
“I’m disappointed that I hear for the first time in closing arguments that the United States Trustee has now taken a position for which I’m expected to respond in real time, but that is what it is,” he told the judge, before trying to politicize the issue. “Your honor, we have natural enemies. This Department of Justice may not see eye to eye with the National Rifle Association, but so be it, we have done the right thing.”
The judge replied:
"I shot a man in Yuma just to watch him die…but then I got distracted "
