*Now* The Grievance Reel Is ‘Offensive’

The test is technically Kunce, but Missouri voters have a test next year.

Either ‘collected power/authority’ (so called receivorships) ait cool or red states are going to control blue cities like fiefdoms.

Buttttt … the teacher would have a chance to defend themselves … and if they are competent at wielding their weapon - they will skillfully shoot the gun out of the attacker’s hands - just like on TV.

I doubt it.

The way Rand Paul is acting about that attack, the assailant must be a mael, white, christian, republican Trump supporter.

Otherwise, he’d be doxxing, and villifying him immediately.

The something else which you are considering is called a supermax prison.

There are reports that the Nashville school shooter is a trans-woman. If true, the fascists will be screaming about that for weeks.

The NRA stooges complain that “existing gun laws aren’t being properly enforced.” Then they defund proper enforcement. Same song, next verse. A little bit louder and a little bit worse.

Billions.

It is bizarre that Americans no longer rank among the top-50 nations in lifespan, because a) we tolerate the killing of children and unregulated gun possession, 2) horrible dietary choices. Finland has begun to repurpose old corporate headquarters for schools. The old Apple Campus in Cupertino or IBM headquarters in White Plains could almost be university campuses, but there must be some multi-billion-dollar firms with old buildings. Imagine that instead of all these cookie-cutter abominations. Sorry for the Finnish, it just says the old Outokumpu mining and metals company headquarters was turned into a school.

“This is 'Murrica, dammit!!! Schools should be a place of terror, carnage and 6-year-old bodies blown apart by high-velocity firearms…all on a weekly basis.”

These same people that want Kim Gardener, STLC DA’s head on platter, over crime are the same damn fools that forget to lock their car doors, have everything delivered and left on their porch, and even have Ring cameras to watch while their unlocked car and packages are stolen.

Even in “gun ban” countries, there are a lot of guns. And bans don’t get even a majority of the estimated numbers in circulation. New Zealand collected somewhere around 30%, Australia around 20% of the stuff in circulation.

When Trump banned bump stocks, estimated 500k in circulation, something like 960 turned in to the authorities.

With the reality being that you’re at best going to make a small dent in overall numbers in circulation in the near term, part and parcel of addressing the problem is making schools hard targets while we work on the larger societal issues that lead to this happening.

Think of covid. Even though cloth masks were imperfect, they were a bridge method to bend the curve while we worked on getting supplies of the medical-grade stuff built up and vaccines. We didn’t just shrug our shoulders and not take steps to mitigate.

Straight from the mouth of the police chief and other officers.

Drake identified the suspect as Audrey Elizabeth Hale, 28, a resident of the Nashville area, and referred to the assailant by female pronouns. The chief said the suspect identified as transgender but provided no further clarity.

The Tennessean newspaper cited a police spokesperson as saying Hale used he/him pronouns. Hale used male pronouns on a LinkedIn page that listed recent jobs in graphic design and grocery delivery.

To be fair, we olds think about that in the morning too. But, unlike Gymbo, we’ve got the intelligence aspect figured. The change of position is another matter altogether.

What gets me is that schools have metal detectors and safety officers, but it didn’t stop Parkland.

As my colleague Josh Kovensky reported yesterday, Donald Trump’s weekend campaign stop in Waco, Texas was one for the books, particularly his decision to run the tapes honoring those who have been convicted or charged for actions related to the storming of the Capitol on Jan. 6. The Trump campaign used the video to help raise money for the families of people jailed over their role in the attack, many of whom Trump and his allies in Congress like Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) have repeatedly referred to as patriotic or political prisoners over the last two years. It was all a bridge too far for some of his sometimes-serious allies in the Senate. Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), John Cornyn (R-TX) and Mike Rounds (R-SD) all made a point of speaking out against the move this week.

Will the hardware, ammunition and time at the firing range be deductible as ‘educational materials’ on federal, state and local taxes?
Also, will teachers have their class loads, preparation and grading requirements reduced so they can hone their martial skills?
If so, what’ll be the pitch to get more folks into teacher training to boost the applicant pool when this reduced face time creates the need for more personnel?
