Dr. Mehmet Oz, the celebrity doctor, on Tuesday announced that he is running to replace retiring Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA) as a Republican in the Pennsylvania Senate race.

This guy has admitted under oath in a Congressional hearing that he’s basically a huckster and snake-oil salesman who says shit to sell products on TV. Whatever credibility he had as an MD back in his Oprah days is long, long gone. And how he’s telling us that basic tools for preventing infectious disease – wearing masks and avoiding crowded places – were some evil scheme to deprive us of freedom?
