I realize that their media profile is raised because they are Republicans defying their party consensus, but I am grateful to Cornyn and Massie (and Kinzinger and Cheney before them) for sticking it to Trump on their way out.

Blocking Blanche would be a hell of final act.

Tillis is still waiting to see changes made to the IRS settlement.

First, why is our Congress conducting secret talks with Donald Trump to absolve Donald Trump and his entire family from ever not having paid or from ever having to pay any taxes?

Second, why is our Chief Law Enforcement Officer unable to speak plainly and clearly, and commit to never facilitating theft by anyone in the government, including the heads of each branch?

Cornyn is really feeling his oats, it’s ashamed it took walking out the door to finally do something decent.

New 60 Minutes correspondents announced. I grew up on the show. Looked forward to it every Sunday night. Thankfully there is Sunday night football to fill in the gap!

It’s either vote no on Blanche or recognize that he will break every agreement he makes.

On consideration, I think that instead of advancing Blanche, we should blanche Blanche. Just for a minute.

There will be a vote on Thursday. It will be to confirm Blanche because the First Felon will pull his levers in the background and threaten anyone he can to ensure confirmation.

The legal gloves will then come off as Blanche goes after every perceived enemy of the administration. The First Felon knows he’s cornered and has only so much time left. He’s got to protect himself from the inevitable impeachment he faces and this is the only way to do it.

Tillis and Cornyn don’t trust Todd Blanche, but forcing him to hold a brief unproductive meeting with the Epstein survivors and to agree, under great duress, to amend the settlement of the bogus IRS lawsuit will mean that suddenly, miraculously, he can be trusted? What a pair of gutless idiots.

Cornyn has one last chance to grow a spine. One. Last. Chance.

Don’t give him credit until he actually does something.

Everything surrounding the Blanche vote is nothing more than Kabuki, a distraction. Even if they vote against his confirmation he’ll just continue on in the position he currently holds, which doesn’t require Senate approval of any kind — just like the hordes of “acting” US and assistant USDAs across the country who willingly do Putin’s Cock-holster’s bidding.

Pleading with racists not to blow up everything for the sake of a little more racism is like trying to calmly persuade a family of raccoons to stop rummaging in your bins.
