Not All Trump Critics Thrilled About Trump Boos | Talking Points Memo

I see his point but one would think Joe should perhaps take his own advice and curb his rantings and histrionics…

Does Joe, Mika, or Coons really not understand the difference between what happened at the World Series and What happens at Trump rallies?

I mean… “Demanding action for actual evidence of wrong doing and abusing the power of the presidency” is a little different than “threatening to jail a political opponent”

Bad Call, JoScar.

When a hitherto peaceful person counterpunches a bully, that does not make the bully an angel. When Trump emerged, he set about destroying not only our civility, but our American culture, reducing it to racists and those who would resist them. Thank Dog for the latter individuals. I will not stand for this Mook to BothSider this one. Given that our Republic is in grave danger from Trump, his JoScar’s words are, to me, the equivalent of these:

“Those nasty Allies on Normandy Beach.”

I’d rather have thrown rotten fruit at him had I been at the game but of course that would land me in jail.

Mebbe just send him a rotten melon by way of a waiter.

Yeah I have no illusions either!

How do you protest a president in public at all, while respecting the damn “office”? The only real way to respect the office is to put a worthy person in it. Otherwise the office only amplifies its occupant’s bad qualities. To me this was always a mealy-mouthed suggestion to not protest at all.

JoeScar & Mika concern trolling and hectoring the rest of us about what it is to be American with a panel of old white guys clutching their pearls b/c the orange twatwazzle didn’t get the fawning adoration he clearly was expecting… just another day among the Acela Corridor Elite.

They just don’t get it. In some ways, they’re more insidious than Hannity.

Can we not also point out that there is a difference between leading and encouraging such a chant and in this case, a spontaneous public chant? But I for one would agree that this would not look good at our convention.

Normally, I would agree that we should be civil toward one another. But, Trump blows up civility every day and his rallies are exercises in incitement. I don’t think it’s a bad thing for the world to see that many Americans despise him. They have to wonder what is going on in America. Let them see that we are as sick of him as they are.

Yes, I came to write essentially the same thing. I assume Joe and Mika encourage the Quiet Protests Against the Machine.

I’m not sure that wouldn’t work, contextually speaking. After all, Cockholster is always crowing about “a witch hunt,” him being the witch.

Fun Fact: I would be more than happy to sing it at his funeral, or, more precisely, his burial. Imagine the rapturous joy I would experience singing:

"He’s gone where the goblins go
Below, below, below, yo ho
Let’s open up and sing, and ring the bells out
Ding-dong! the merry-o sing it high, sing it low
Let them know the wicked witch is dead."

I’m thinking they might just forget he ever existed, a la W, who was a pariah until Trump. Don who?

I disagree. This was not a political rally making a partisan point. This was a cross section of the American public at a sporting event and they were expressing their frustration at the slow process of getting an obvious criminal and probable foreign asset out of power before he can do any more harm. It was the public speaking to the powerful and doing so without having to resort to violence. It made me proud to be an American for the first time in quite a while. And I hope the Republicans in the Senate were paying attention.

Indeed. After McConnell’s shock that the man at Cummings’ funeral snubbed him, maybe it’s all just beginning to dawn on them.

He should really try to wash the blood off his hands first.

Odd. Because I understood that amongst the most fundamental American things was the right of the people to protest their government without fear of retribution.
