The smartphone, which made its debut in April at AT&T stores to rave reviews, was positioned as something of a comeback for Nokia and Microsoft, which makes the Windows Phone 7.5 software operating system that runs the device. Both companies are lagging badly in the smartphone wars against Apple’s iPhone and Google Android devices by other manufacturers.
