I don’t give a flying fuck about what she thinks about it. What I care about is our fellow citizens seeing her lose any reputation she might have had and seeing who she truly is and for the Republicans to see that she is a liability

I’ll add that a solid 3/4 of this country don’t want a dictator. That includes swing voters who went for trump this time. The hardcore basket of deplorables, who need to be rounded up and put in camps, never amounted to more than a quarter of voters. We can crush these people. Start by boycotting and snubbing every magat you know. They wanted this, and now they are going to pay with loss of business, and relationships. Not all of us. Just them. They got the government they deserve. We all did not. They should consider themselves lucky to be alive after We the People are done with them.

One of my customers at the store is probably well into his 80s, but is a proud MAGAt. On Tuesday when I was at the store, I saw him come through my line. Normally bedecked in at least a Maga hat or something on his shirt, he was curiously unadorned when he came through my line. Had a very nice greeting for me as he usually does, but I was very surprised to see him not wearing any of the garb.
Now that I think about it, I’m not seeing much of that garb in hats or shirts or other legend clothing coming through any of my lines for probably the last couple of weeks. I do work on Saturday, so it will be interesting to see what comes through my line then.

I do not think Donald Trump will be able to build an American autocracy if the majority of the country opposes it. The key is not defeating him in direct engagement, where he holds most of the power, but discrediting his project in the eyes of the public. A critical element of that is that elected officials cannot back down. They must continue to act like Americans. If the President wants to rule by tackling senators or arresting governors, make him do it. Elected officials owe us that. We should accept it individually ourselves as well, if need be.

I don’t recall anything like this manhandling of a sitting senator.
I would be disturbed regardless of his party affiliation.

Yeah, remind us again how Republicans think that any time a Democrat wins an election, it’s not legitimate. They’re coming right out and saying it, for those with the ears to hear, that they don’t believe in this “democracy” thing. And definitely not the “rule of law” and “due process” – too woke!
As Mr Marshall has stated in today’s editor’s editorial, make them own this and make them DO IT. Leave no room for doubt. The American public is a sleeping giant, and it takes a powerful kick to wake it up, so the sooner, the better.

This map is fairly self-explanatory. I want to draw your attention to the counties just north of NYC. In particular, Rockland County. Deep blue. Same in 2016, 2018, 2020, 2022…
In 2024, Kamala Harris received ZERO votes in one Rockland County district, and 2 in another. And NY has paper ballots.
So yeah, color me skeptical AF about getting them out of the House.

I am going very specific with Padilla.
The circumstance is he was removed, forcefully for very little. By position, he has a certain status that elevates him beyond being a faceless detractor. And Noem’s people made it a spectacle by stupidly manhandling him out of there. It brought more attention than they really might want. Seeing this, along with protests and resistance is important. I keep harping on getting those cameras on our Democratic law makers. Get them in the picture, screw up the Trump-ites carefully scripted moments. Over and over and over again. Stop letting Trump set the picture and draw those lenses and words to him only. Stop his unfttered defining of the moment.
This is what I want to see. If you take the full coverage option, there are tons of entries. Good, bad, it still leans on the idea of taking some of the real estate that has been ceded to Trump far too long.
