Need to work the end line. I think “It’s the American way,” works better. Emphasizes their “Americanness” while simultaneously patting ourselves on the back for being idiots.

I like this word “havoc” in regards to Republicans. I think it fits because they seemly don’t plan, or understand what their action wrought.
