Former Attorney General Jeff Sessions is headed to a runoff in the GOP Alabama Senate primary after failing to reach a majority on Tuesday – and his old boss is delighted.
I’ll never comprehend sophisticated players supporting trump not realizing and preparing for their inevitable betrayal. Over and over you observe these fools crushed under his toe and discarded, usually in a publicly humiliating tweet.
I hadn’t given Sessions much of a chance to win outright, given this animosity from Trump and that Sessions and the other candidates’ platforms consisted of who could kiss Trump’s ass the most seductively in order to woo him and voters. Still, I’m a bit surprised Bradley Byrne (a state rep and then congressman from Mobile/southern Alabama) didn’t do better . . . but then again, Tuberville’s having coached Auburn football counts for more than it should over there.
If Doug Jones should win the general election (yes, against all odds, but a guy can hope), he will have earned that victory. But seeing as he won’t be running against Roy Moore, well . . .
I hate to use this word in polite company, and I wish there were a nicer word that encompasses Trump’s essence more than this word, but the word to describe Trump most succinctly is “asshole.” He’s just an asshole through and through. There are many other things you could say about him, but that one pretty much sums him up.
Along those same lines, I was thinking just this morning that if there were an illustrated dictionary of phrases, beside the phrase “He doesn’t think his shit stinks” (not a phrase I’m especially fond of for reasons of politeness; but, man, sometimes you have to call 'em like you see 'em) there would be a picture of Trump.
Ask yourself, which comment would appear shinier to the MSM? Trump congratulating Sessions? or Trump dissing him? This is all about keeping the attention on himself, just like all the Warren/Sanders stuff.
