By the time the election is held tRump will have access to all kinds of dirt on Democratic candidates I suspect, even through Bill Barr’s DoJ working overtime on his behalf with no one in a position to stop him.
I fail to see any winners for our party in Iowa’s clusterfuck.

Trump won the electoral college by less than 80,000 votes NATIONWIDE (spread between Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, who combined have a population of 28.5 MILLION.)
80K is considered a poor attendance number at an single Ohio State college football game.

Last night on CNN’s townhall, Buttigieg spoke highly of Sanders and of his showing in Iowa.
It’s going to be interesting debate tonight.
Too bad Bloomberg won’t be on stage.
Iowa was not a finely painted picture… we only get broad strokes.
Even if counting went flawlessly and the actual totals clear. It was always about expectations, not raw delegates.

Joe did not meet expectations for the most electable candidate.
The big thing is not so much the numbers as where those numbers come from since that determines what delegates are awarded for the candidates. The app was a total clusterfuck. I do hope no other state uses an app for this election. That should never have been approved. Pure stupidity. What the next election needs is low-tech solutions, something like paper and a #2 pencil to get us through this shit. I have no doubt the hackers will be out in full force in this election and probably are already geared up for the primaries.

Silver’s model has Bernie at a 1 in 2 chance of being the nominee – that’s still a 1 in 2 chance that it will be someone else. It is no more a guarantee that Bernie will be the nominee than that HRC would win, even though Nate gave her 2 chances in 3, which was better than his chances for Bernie at this point.
There are still a lot of unknowns – a couple of weeks ago Nate had Biden way up there leading the pack and now that’s looking less likely. A month from now, who knows? Too early to declare anyone a winner.

The very least you could do is cut the CDE crap. Awarding delegates based on districts within your state is the equivalent of the national electoral college, and we know how well that’s turned out.
But really, in a state where about 30pct of voters cast early or absentee ballots in 2018, the caucus system is antiquated and biased towards those more able to get out on a cold winter night. It’s pretty shameful you take such pride in it.
