NIH Director: I’m ‘Rather Disheartened’ By How Few People Wore Masks At Trump Rally

Actually, if you read all that he said, his meaning is perfectly clear:

“Imagine you were an alien who landed on planet Earth, and you saw that our planet was afflicted by an infectious disease and that masks were an effective way to prevent the spread, and yet when you went around, you saw some people not wearing them and some people wearing them, and you tried to figure out why, and it turned out it was their political party.”

That alien, Collins said, would think that the Earth is “just not a planet that has much promise for the future, if something that is so straightforward can somehow get twisted into decision-making that really makes no sense.”

The headline is clickbait.

Trump dummies do what they are trained to do. If they were told to wear masks and not sit next to each other if they wanted to see Death Cult 45, they would instantly accept the idea. Without a change to their programming, they will joyfully continue to exchange air droplets and rub up against each other because that’s how to own the libs in his fantasy world.

“How did we get here?” Collins asked during an appearance on CNN.

I have never been a fan of Dr. Collins. He may be the Director of NIH, but he is a pretty egomaniacal, self-promoting, and totally political animal. I met him at a Grand Rounds presentation he gave. He looked at us coldly, like we, individually, were useless peons. He is heartless.

Maybe this can help him with the question he raises:

“If I die, I die.” Call them stupid all you want but tRump’s followers are also extremely dangerous. That combo will have dire consequences for all of us.

All this for a racist gameshow host.

They’re militantly stupid.

Where are the public service announcements about mask wearing on TV, Facebook and Twitter. The government should pay for them, if that’s what it takes.

Dr. Francis Collins, the soon-to-be former director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)…

FIFY.

But Hillary didn’t spend enough time in Michigan or Wisconsin. Yeah. Those racist assholes certainly could have been won over.

Economic anxiety. What a freaking joke.

The federal government is spending all its petty cash on the Trump Campaign and the States are flat broke. And they’ll be even flatter broke in the near future.

Funny looking “V”

  1. Quick get away
  2. as @occamscoin said fire marshalls
  3. they don’t have the $$$ to rent a space ( and we sure as hell know Trump doesn’t care about reimbursing a city for security costs)

And just remember that Trump likes to sleep in his own bed. Remember how that was a thing in 2016? I’m sure Trump has a spray tan booth set up at all of his properties.

If they weren’t dummies they’d have co-opted the British “Stay calm” message from WW II and normalized it and had us ignoring it. Instead they just look like a-holes with their heads in the sand.

The government isn’t going to pay for ads promoting wearing face masks, that would be spending Trump’s money on something he doesn’t believe in.
Now on the other hand I keep seeing

The feds wouldn’t have used such cool music in their ad.

Because the Brits didn’t use that slogan during WW II.
