NH Guv Is Sure Trump’s Rally Will Be Safe. He’s Not Going, Though. | Talking Points Memo

New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu (R) believes it’s not too risky for President Donald Trump to hold a campaign rally in his state on Saturday-but apparently not enough for the governor himself to attend.

Just goes to show you… it’s more than TX that has GOP cowards. Will he be making a video appearance?

The rally is perfectly safe for non-governors to attend. And if there were ever a gathering where masks weren’t required, it’s hey no fair for another gathering to have that requirement. Isn’t he the son of John Sununu who was reputed to be a huge brainiac? Because gotta say I’m not hearing that here.

Trump: 99% Harmless

So NH Gov…are you a “fraidy“ cat, a hypocrite or a snowflake?

Or have you read the new Covid forecast from the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation model (Used to be WH’s fave Covid forecaster)?

208,000 Covid death by November!

Who knew Trumpism is 100% BIGLY HARMFUL!

“reputed to be”
See, that’s the thing. Sununu pere had a reputation that was largely self-promoted. He was still a Republican hack, as is Sununu fils.

“Unfortunately, I have to be extra cautious as the governor, I try to be extra cautious for myself, my family,” he added.

Members of the great unwashed, however, are encouraged to throw themselves into local volcanoes, whether they have families not. This will appease the vengeful god Econimus, and lead to bountiful harvests of anti-choice judges for the new season.

Between now and November 3, his constituents should be constantly reminded that he was happy to expose them to COVID while remaining safely home himself.

Were his COVID spurs acting up?

Between this, the TX convention, and the Trump Fest in FL, all with the “leaders” bailing, will there come a point where republican voters ask themselves, “just how dumb do they think we are?”

I know, I know… But shouldn’t this be dawning on them?

WOW…what a ‘leader’…YOU are being ‘extra cautious’ but screw those who you purport to ‘lead’…they can make up their OWN minds. After all you’re up for ELECTION in 2020 aren’t you? LIVE FREE OR DIE jerk…

I’m sure the mouth-breathers in attendance wearing their MAGA merch will be fine. If not, well, they were warriors!

Years ago I saw a NH vanity license plate that said “OR RUN”. It’s just under the state motto on the plate that says “Live Free or Die”.
Gov Sununu might add OR HIDE.

“To have a mask order for one and not the other isn’t fair, doesn’t make sense,” the governor said… he then called for his acolytes to bring him water, a bowl and a towel so he could wash his hands of the matter.
(What a sanctimonious fuck!)

I know a nurse who works at the busiest ER in our city. When she meets Covid deniers she asks if they’d like to tag along with her at work. No one ever takes her up on that, kinda like this dude.

What are you worried about? The virus will magically disappear and it’s like a bad cold and the death rate is falling (or rising again) and if you survive with some lung damage or heart trouble, it’s no big deal…

Just swallow a bottle of bleach or hydroxychloroquine and you’ll be fine…

Protects you from the Covid or so I hear.
