Newsom Orders All CA Counties To Review Autopsies Dating To December

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) directed every county in his state on Wednesday to reexamine the autopsies they carried out as far back as December to determine whether COVID-19 had reached California even earlier than discovered on Tuesday.

Sadly, given the recent discovery of earlier COVID victims, this might be entirely warranted.

Geez…

Yes, we had, and still have, inadequate testing; horribly inadequate testing.
All due to the orange shitgibbon in the White House.

McConnell claims the Feds are bailing out blue states when red states are the ones getting more from feds that they put in! Seems like TX is about the only red state that isn’t literally in the red with the fed, and I 'm willing to make a small wager that could change really fast with gas prices falling into the well!

“I like the numbers where they are.”

I’ve long felt the number of deaths attributable to COVID-19 are actually low. Just factoring in that there is no uniform reporting process alone will likely raise the numbers. Then factor in the states in perpetual denial that are going to do everything possible to suppress the numbers and the actual death toll may well be, at minimum, 25% higher than is currently reported.

If that’s the case, please raise your hand if you’ll be surprised.

Cue Current Occupant for today’s presser: “I spoke with my best friend the Governor of California earlier today and he spent the entire call congratulating and thanking me for my Chinese ban. He said I should have done it much earlier because now it looks like those horrible people were coming into his state far earlier than we thought and bringing their plague with them. Terrible. Sad. He said they came in by the thousands to attend Nancy Pelosi’s rally in Chinatown, just like I had predicted they would. But nobody wrote about it when I said it because they hate me. They give me credit for NOTHING.”

You’ve got it down pretty well, but you need to add in some non sequitur tangents like:

“…Pelosi’s rally in Chinatown, just like I predicted they would. And by the way, don’t get me wrong, I love Chinatown, there are many Chinese people there, would you believe it, Chinese people? More than in Beijing. Very few people know that…

Chinese people. That’s actual people from the actual city of China. Bet you didn’t know that, John…

Glad that Newsom has ordered this. It would not be surprising to find more deaths due to Covid since blood clots seem to be another aspect of the virus. Trevor Bedford has some thoughts on this.

We should feel slightly alarmed that we can do this. He’s gotten embedded into America’s brain, like some parasite.

Well, KY could declare bankruptcy.

It is not just Blue States that are spending money…

And when the second wave of Covid-19 hits KY, will it go bust?

Cue PluckyinKY.

“Autopsy” is a strange word. Because it begins with “auto,” does that mean that one performs an autopsy on oneself?

I just saw a couple of articles in the Seattle Times, one reprinted from WaPo and one from the NYT.

From the WaPo it appears that COVID-19 ALSO causes a lot of microclotting (https://www.seattletimes.com/nation-world/a-mysterious-blood-clotting-complication-is-killing-coronavirus-patients/) leading to strokes, heart attacks, and limb loss in people who appear to only have mild symptoms. From the NYT it appears that COVID-19 was already in the US in January, based on the sudden death by heart attack of a woman on Feb 6 who (tying back to the first story) only showed mild symptoms (https://www.seattletimes.com/nation-world/a-coronavirus-death-in-early-february-was-probably-the-tip-of-an-iceberg/). The CV-19 infection was only discovered after an autopsy - which may explain why Gov Newsom is ordering this review.

China (from the clotting story) had reported incidents of clotting, but I suspect everybody focused on the respiratory symptoms - and only started figuring out the clotting later.

I wonder if that explains the FDNY data about the huge increase in ‘cardiac’ ambulance call outs where the patient died.

“Fake news, I’ve done such a good job at handling this, Democrats are literally digging up graves to inflate the numbers of deaths because they know how good I’ve done and they want to hurt my re-election chances.”

I see you spotted the WaPo article on the clotting complications too. Santa Clara may have had infections and deaths that weren’t counted because, as leftcaster mentions, the clotting problem (leading to heart attack, stroke, or limb amputation) weren’t being recognized as coming from complications of CV-19.

Ever see the “Graduate Student Exams”?

Medical:

Under your desk you will find a box containing a bottle of whiskey, a scalpel, a needle, and fine fishing line. Remove your appendix. Do not suture until your work has been examined.
