Chesebro described Nevada in a Dec. 9, 2020 memo to Wisconsin Trump attorney Jim Troupis as “extremely problematic” because that state’s laws imposed more requirements on the electors than others did.
Seems Wisconsin actually did something right for once.
It is apparent that like Trump these guys after thinking this through didn’t believe they would ever be charged with a crime. The idiots who agreed to aid and abet this crime deserve time in prison.
When the indictments come down, I hope they sweep up enough of the operatives at all levels to prevent a replay. The Republican party from top to bottom needs to learn that cheating will bite them in the ass. We have had too many Republican presidential candidates winning elections via subterfuge, dirty tricks, and outright treason. It needs to end.
It’s only a question of how much more time is available before they can be removed from affecting the election.
I suspect, like cockroaches, the folks involved here have plenty of layers of lower-level folks that would be happy to step in.

This needs to be stamped out here and now. We are a nation of laws and there was a vast conspiracy, which we all witnessed in real time, that was dedicated to illegally interfering with the results of a Presidential election. We need full accountability and if people go to jail, then they need to go to jail.
The mere fact that these scumbags focused on the states whose votes were the closest proves pretty conclusively that they knew the vote totals were valid.

Maybe, but campaigns have to prioritize all the time. If much of the prosecution were resting on that, Cheese Bro could argue that many other states had irregularities, but they had to prioritize spending on the low hanging fruit that would accomplish the goal, right?

ETA: That deserves a little expansion. The fact that they chose the six closest states for their fake electors implicitly acknowledges that those would be the easiest to flip (plus New Mexico for cover). They offer no explanation why, if the election was stolen, it was only stolen in the six closest states. It’s solely that those would be the easiest to flip (not that any states were ever going to flip, these people are delusional).
A group called Lawyers Defending American Democracy submitted an ethics complaint Oct. 12 [2022] to the Attorney Grievance Committee of New York’s Supreme Court calling Chesebro the “apparent mastermind behind key aspects of the fake elector ploy.” A similar complaint was filed in July by The 65 Project, which calls itself a “bipartisan effort to protect democracy” named after the 65 lawsuits submitted by Trump-allied lawyers to overturn the election.
A Georgia grand jury subpoenaed Chesebro in August to testify there about attempts to overturn the 2020 election, following a subpoena issued by the U.S. House of Representatives committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on Congress.
