“motivating”? How about “singular solo individual primo directive mandate”?

New Lawsuit Claims GA Elections Bill Intentionally Discriminates Against Black Voters

Defense: “Nonsense, there is no discrimination. Obviously, if white voters vote for the democrat, we’ll fix those elections too.”

Whatever the intent, the likely effect is that pissed-off voters will turn out in extra large numbers…And they’ll bring their own food and water, too!

After listening to the video of George Floyd’s murder again this morning, I read this headline and found some solace. Mr. Floyd’s suffering helped wakeup many Americans. I do think his death was the final catalyst to rally Liberal and Black voters.

I just hope the asshole cop burns.

Reading a story in WaPo this morning it listed the new laws, and the why fors and why nots. One of the things that caught my eye was Gabriel Sterling pointing out that there is an app for polling place wait times, but only during early voting.
Since we don’t have early voting in MO how does this work, and I’m not talking about the app. I ask because is it in GA that they argued over voting at the wrong polling place, or was that some other state? And if you vote in person early how does GA determine what things you vote on? Or is it that all ballots within a county the same during a general election?

You know this will be the defense: the law discriminates, equally, against both white and black Democrats.

It doesn’t do so “intentionally”, it does so “coincidentally”, which is really weird because it’s so specifically targeted that it does so “effectively”.

But intentionally? You’re honor, if you believe that you probably don’t believe it when a SCOTUS nominee says that they have never once thought about abortion before. And the thought of a sitting judge impugning the SCOTUS like that is just inconceivable.

Why is it being shown? People want to know the process and the outcome.

So far, the prosecution sounds like it is doing an excellent job.

And one thing just hit me. I’m pretty sure GA requires you to vote in your precinct, HOWEVER GA does NOT require a congressperson to live in the district they represent.

That just seems all kinds of wrong.

The law is a bad look for Georgia Republicans and will probably backfire. Usually people will do whatever they need to do to vote if they’re motivated enough and the best way to motivate voters is to blatantly try to stop them from voting.

I guess you are right, but it gives me flash back to the OJ Simpson trial…

It’s almost like they’ve been operating under the concept of a ruling class for hundreds of years.

I think it’s important for the country to be able to see this trial.

Don’t get your hopes up. He’ll walk.

These cases almost never result in conviction when it comes to cops.

Yeah…I know. But like I said. The prosecution is doing a really good job so far.
