No doubt they are, but as Wolfers argues, Korea can’t reduce tariffs on American goods as part of a bargain because there aren’t any. I mean, are there negative tariffs? The only bargain possible is for Trump to agree to go back to things as they were, keep his current tariffs or maybe reduce them a bit. There’s nothing SoKo can give up to please him, so maybe they’ll settle for less pain, as you imply.
Seeing how they didn’t run him through much of a National Security threat assessment or the typical stringent measures approving him for security clearances that was once commonly done in our government, I’d say he’s gotten away with a lot more than just being a fall-down drunk or dry drunk. He’s never come to terms with his addiction or it being a problem it seems.
He has so much other baggage besides that tbh. For one, his abuse of women comes to mind. That should’ve been a reason to reject his nomination alone. That information came from his own mother ffs, not just a handful of others.
Five of the six goons who hauled the woman out of the “Town hall” in Idaho have been indicted on kidnapping, false imprisonment and other charges. No uniforms or identification. Just manhandled the woman out for asking the wrong questions. Now we see how the Idaho courts handle that indictment. Good so far in granting the indictment at least.
If the protesters don’t commit any violent acts, I have no doubt the administration plants will provoke it. This is now their MO. Once started, trump will use it to declare martial law and do massive arrests.
I feel sorry for them. They aren’t the first generation that was heavily advertised/propagandized to; and shown to be extremely susceptible and lacking the critical thinking skills. But they have had it shoved into their brains in ways earlier generations couldn’t conceive of, and at many orders of magnitude higher volume.
