The book “A Warning,” written by the anonymous author of the famous New York Times op-ed, is already racking up huge preorder numbers and causing its publishing house to print hundreds of thousands of copies to keep up with demand.
I have no interest in giving money to the coward who wrote “Anonymous”. It’s the presence of cynical weaklings who work for Don the Con like this person who have permitted the catastrophic Trump regime to dismantle our constitutional safeguards and made a mockery of the law.
And yet, I was impressed with the amount of time Rachel spent in describing the book on her show. “Trust your feelings” has always been a motto with me.
And after hearing what Rachel said that night, I said to myself, “This fucker needs to be removed” with more resolve than ever.
Any person.
Any person who aids and abets Trump is helping to destroy this country…whether he/she is a lawyer, legislator, voter, supporter, enabler
Trump: This will be my most popular book. I expect to make $10Billion from it. I wrote this all by myself. next book in 2020 just after the election when I am sworn in by Putin himself.
On the one hand, I agree that it would be much better if the author had the stones to put their name on it.
On the other hand, if the preorder numbers of this book would exceed the number of sales of Jr’s book, it would make me laugh. Because it would piss off Jr and Daddy both. Bigly. Because this is the kind of thing that Cheatolini actually understands and it makes him nuts. (Remember how out of joint his nose got over the Obamas’ book advances??)
And because they would put pressure on Ronna Imma-gonna-pretend-I’m-not-a-Romney and the RNC to waste even huger sums of money to buy up copies of Jr’s “book” to artificially inflate the numbers until they are higher than the Anonymous book. More $$ on books means less $$ for Gooper campaigns.
That alone is almost worth preordering a copy, even if I would never crack the book open.
The people who need to be convinced that Trump shouldn’t be in office aren’t readers. Not sure that you’re going to reach them unless its on a paper place mat at IHOP.
Somehow, reading “insider” accounts of how crazy and worthless Trump is has become a form of pornography in that it is titillating and I feel a little bit dirty afterward.
I seriously hope that TPM will desist from publishing anything about the release of this book or its contents. If the author hasn’t the courage of his/her convictions to identify themselves, I’m not at all interested in hearing what they are saying.
So, you would abolish whistleblower protections, and view with disdain and doubt whatever information they provide to IGs and others in attempting to right a wrong or shine a light on improprieties and illegalities?
I hope the author makes a fortune and everyone reads it. It is much more powerful at this point to keep his identity secret. Down the road we will know who he is and the longer the WH doesn’t know the harder it will be for them to trash the writer. Our curiosity is irrelevant.
Not al all. Whistleblowers are a completely different situation and protected by law. Independent investigations are initiated based on their complaint and their allegations are judged to be credible or not by IG’s. By themselves, a whistleblower doesn’t profit from their actions…at least as far as I know.
This book, on the other hand, appears yo be an attempt to make some money without the author stepping up and identifying themselves to anyone…other than their publisher. I don’t question their freedom to write and publish whatever they want. But their motives and the accuracy of their reports can be easily questioned and the credence of anything they have to say has to be considered minimal…at least imho.
In short, if you want to spend your time verifying anything they have to say, go for it. I’d rather watch grass grow.
Hachette is the publisher. They have standards they adhere to in vetting manuscripts offered to them. Much more than a cursory review of what they’re dealing with is performed. They’re not known for partnering in the dissemination of bald lies and baseless innuendo. Their business record has scant evidence of the sorts of shenanigans Regnery is willing to engage in.
