I would catch Colbert’s monologue on occasion, and they were always smart. But let’s remember his speech at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner. The journalists didn’t get it, but those on the outside knew it was brilliant. And conservobots thought that Colbert’s conservative facade was real, when Colbert was really knocking all that they stood for.

The flight manifests for three legally contested deportation flights from Texas to El Salvador contain dozens of additional, unaccounted for passengers than a previously published Department of Homeland Security (DHS) list of people deported from the United States on those flights, 404 Media has learned. The additional people on the flight manifest have not been publicly acknowledged by the U.S. government in any way, and immigration experts who have been closely monitoring Trump’s deportation campaign say they have no idea where these people are or what happened to them. 404 Media is now publishing the names of these people.
But in May, a hacker targeted GlobalX, the airline that operated these flights and shared the data with 404 Media. In addition to the names of people who were on the list CBS News published, the GlobalX flight manifests contain the names of dozens of people who were supposedly on the flights but whose status and existence has not been acknowledged by the U.S. government or previously reported in the press.

After nearly four years of warnings about what a Trump-II administration would look like, there are still an enormous number of people who don’t believe that things are going to get a whole lot worse, especially with this DOJ.
It is only a matter of time before a wholesale criminal attack on every Dem big name is put in play - Schiff is the first one. They’ll go for the bigger names in the next year. The trials will be shams.
And still the remaining Dem leadership, what there is of it, will insist upon bipartisanship and comity while the GQP takes the Dem party apart limb by limb.
And there’s still talk of us taking the House in 2026? Please…

Colbert is a Roman Catholic who walks the walk. He would have been an excellent pastor, in the best respect of that word.
He’ll be fine. CBS, once William Paley’s proud “Tiffany” network (even if it didn’t always live up to that nickname), deserves to go the way of Quibi and Dumont.
