NC GOPer Threatens To Break Into Elections Office, Looks Ridiculous | Talking Points Memo

A lot of things happened. Here are some of the things.

North Carolina state Rep. Jeff McNeely (R) announced on Thursday that he and several other Republican lawmakers were going to personally inspect the voting machines at the Durham County Board of Elections office on the basis of–you guessed it–voter fraud (there’s no evidence of voter fraud in Durham County). McNeely announced his Mission Impossible fantasy while dressed like a particularly fancy clown.

  • McNeely backed down from his threat by the end of day, saying he’d just drive by the elections office building instead, according to WRAL.

But what if he’s arrested for driving while fabulous?

Do these geniuses think you can tell a voting machine has been involved in fraud by looking at it? Sigh. I mean, yes, of course they do.

  • “Helping kids of color to feel they belong has a negative effect on white, Christian, or conservative kids,” Beeman commented.

It’s far past time we put a stop to the oppression and marginalization of white, Christian conservative kids. Being moved to the head of all the lines is a birthright. Science says so.

It’s been pretty well established that the current Preznit decides what is/isn’t privileged (and Biden has said he doesn’t plan to invoke privilege regarding any J6 discussions), but who wants to take the bet that some RWNJ Federal judge will entertain T****'s all-but-certain lawsuit, in hopes that it will get fast-tracked to SCROTUS for them to disregard the law and precedent and let the J6 subpoenaees off the hook…because reasons?

And, of course, their testimony will be stalled until after the midterms. at least, or forever. (see also: McGahn, Don)

Mornin

A man fell from a New Jersey high-rise Wednesday morning but survived, plunging nine stories down before landing in the chassis of a BMW. The car, identified as a Beemer 330i in the New York Post , cushioned his landing somewhat, and the 31-year-old man was alive when bystanders approached. Christina Smith, who saw the fall, told the Post the man stood up in the wreckage of the car, raised his right arm, and asked the witnesses, “What happened?” Smith called 911 for assistance for the man, who did not work in the building and has since refused to give his identity to police. He remains in critical condition at a nearby hospital. Smith said, “I heard a big boom and I didn’t think it was a person at first. The back window of the car just busted out—exploded. Then the guy jumped up and started screaming. His arm was all twisted.” Mark Bordeaux, who also saw the fall, told the Post , “He kept saying, ‘Leave me alone, I want to die.’ You saw one of his arms was clearly broken, but he was conscious, he was moving.”

Executive Privilege is decided only by the current guy. If TFG thinks that former guys get a word regarding EP, so should the other former guys (Carter, Clinton, Bush, Obama.) And they will submit an amicus if they give a damn about the presidency or the country.

The mistake this country made was allowing those who were not white, Christian, property owning, men to vote.

Are you Russian, KKK, or is that snark?

A criminal contempt proceeding can move very fast.

Lemme get this straight: Mr. Lawrence Welk audience member-wannabe is threatening to go all “inner-city” and do a drive-by of the elections office?

People who wear suits made from their bed spread should not be allowed to drive.

It can’t be snark, it’s a very valid argument.
