The NBA announced on Wednesday afternoon that three games have been postponed and will be rescheduled after the Milwaukee Bucks’ boycotted Game 5 of a first-round playoff series earlier in the day, as unrest has gripped Kenosha, Wisconsin after the police shooting of Jacob Blake.
Only a few short hours ago things were pretty woebegone around here and now we are back in the fight. We have allies, we are allies. Never lose hope, never give up.
After hearing an clips from an presser the Kenosha (can’t believe I spelled it correctly the first time ) police chief gave I’m waiting for when they decide to charge Blake with failure to comply with an officer’s orders. I know that they’ll drag this out for awhile because they don’t want to be responsible for taking a care of a paralyzed man awaiting trial.
I hope it doesn’t come to this, but in Trumplandia the worse can always get outrageously worse.
So, I don’t know if the players meant for the timing to happen the way it did. Either way, it’s impeccable and powerful. The story tonight isn’t Mike Pence’s speech illegally given on federal property. It’s the NBA AND MLB on unofficial strike for social justice. The NBA players are meeting tonight. I would t be surprised if they just walk out and finish the NBA season.
The big question now is the NFL. Will Some of the games biggest stars pull a Kapernick and/or boycott the season?
