Navarro Sentenced To 4 Months In Prison For Refusing To Comply With Jan 6 Subpoena

Former White House adviser Peter Navarro was sentenced to four months in prison Thursday for criminal contempt of Congress after he defied subpoenas for testimony from the House Jan. 6 select committee when it was investigating the attack on the Capitol in 2022, according to Politico and AP reporters in the room.

Peter: Look at the bright side. You will meet new, interesting people and learn some creative sexual techniques and yoga moves in the shower when you pick up the soap you dropped. The food will be nutritious and safe if you enjoy stale carbs and out-of-date canned food. Good luck discovering cause and effect.

I’m bettin’ that, true to form, when Navarro gets out of the pokey he’ll still be on a fascist tirade.

Maybe. But I imagine that spending hours, days, weeks, months behind bars gives a person a lot of time to consider, no matter what they say in public, how their life led them to that place. Very sobering.

Now prosecute Jim Jordan on the same charges.

Navarro’s lawyers asked Mehta last week to stay the sentence while they appeal the conviction as well.

Well? Did they take him in to custody? When does he go to jail? That’s the only thing I want to know about this story and it isn’t even mentioned?

“You are not a victim,” Judge Mehta told Navarro. “You are not the object of a political prosecution…You have received every process you are due. These are circumstances of your own making.”

It will probably be a while before Ron’s uncle (Sam) sends him to his vacation destination. But look on the bright side - he will be miserable for the entire duration the court stays his sentence.

Today’s itty bitty bit of good news.

Yeah! Now do Jim Jordan.

How many more months - or years- will Navarro weasel around appealing … petitioning … dancing …?
Where is the hard stop & the clank of the iron bars?

What is really exasperating is that Navarro is such a vapid no-substance piece of excrement … he is just an annoying attention seeking douchbag - with no significance… he is utterly incapable of making any material contribution to the political dialog - he is nothing more than a Rodeo clown … one that all sides hope gets gored!

Navarro at his next press conference.

Or does he stay out of jail for the super long appeal period and get his own ‘war room’ show?

"You have received every process you are due.” Sayeth the judge, then let him out on PR for the duration of the inevitable appeal. These judges are both impotent and feckless each and every one. I predict he’ll never spend even a single hour in the slammer.

Oh you can be assured he was let out on PR.
