White House trade adviser Peter Navarro said Wednesday that he has “no opinion” of the doctor shown in a viral video retweeted by President Donald Trump who falsely claimed that an anti-malaria drug is a cure for COVID-19.
As brazen as they are, the pressure seems to be getting to them. Trump stalked off the podium yesterday after Kaitlan Collins asked him about this woman and her thoughts on “alien DNA.” Elect a clown, expect a circus, Petey, that’s what we all said.
Would you like to be a clown in the “circus”? Or perhaps the dandy gentleman who shovels up the elephant turds? I’m sure there’s a good fit somewhere under the big top for you.
Stella Immanuel is a doctor, at least minimally. She graduated medical school in Nigeria in 1990, and did a residency in pediatrics in Brooklyn in 1995-98. She appears to have been practicing in Louisiana from 1998 to 2019, when she relocated to Houston and was licensed (first temporary, then full licensure) in 2019. She does not appear to have any board certifications. I could not find any disciplinary actions against her listed in any of those three states. Her strip mall clinic in Houston apparently has three advanced practice nurses working there.
So yes, she’s a real physician, at least by a minimal definition. But we have a lot of crazy people in Texas who are also licensed to practice medicine. (See also: Ron Paul.) I wouldn’t take anything she says about Covid at face value, though, including the number of cases she claims to have treated, or their outcomes.
As for Pete Navarro, he should at least acknowledge that however nuts she may be, she’s more of a physician than the Chinese expert “Ron Vara” that he cited in at least six of his books. Unlike Ron Vara, Stella Immanuel is a real person.
That’s right Pete…feign OUTRAGE DAMMIT at ‘the media’ when you can’t or won’t answer the questions…“I’m not going to be your prop in this circus.” and yet you willingly are a ‘prop’ for Donald J. Trump.
