National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien has tested positive for coronavirus, Bloomberg reported Monday morning. Politico also confirmed the news.
Not to worry–he never gets close to the president anyway.
National security is not a priority for this (mal)administration.
Almost forgot that the position even existed, this guy could kick the bucket tomorrow and nobody would miss him.
I would be willing to bet that Mr. Trump and everyone who comes into regular contact with him is tested daily.
There would be a bit of irony if the National Security Adviser gave Trump covid…
If it were to take Trump out of being in charge, then O’Brien will have unintentionally done the best possible thing possible toward the mission or his title.

National Insecurity Advisor. I grew up in the DC suburbs during the Cold War. My father was highly placed in the CIA. He was not just a “spymaster”, he designed the craft. Foreign affairs were our dinner table talk although I was unaware of his work until a teen. At that time civil defense - in the event of a nuclear attack - was a public safety topic. We held drills at school and in the house had a nuclear emergency poster on the inside door of a kitchen closet. When the covid started to blow up in March with little serious attention from POTUS, I saw immediately that adversarial intelligence agencies had to be looking at the US response and realizing that the US had no civil defense. That we were ripe for being pushed over. Four months later that’s even more the case. Our country is in a very dangerous situation.
