Sure, he’s “requested” them. And once he has them he’ll consider reviewing them. Maybe in November. Or early next year.

I’m sure there is a lot of documentation to hand over considering all the White House has cooperated with. We are 2.5 years in and all the investigations have revealed little more than just some sleuthing reporters. The thing is the evidence has been in plain sight. They just all need to agree that what we have all seen with our own eyes on camera is real.

Dem leadership is scared shitless over proceeding with an actual impeachment against Trump. Everyone just needs to accept that. That don’t want to go there. Period.

I think that the Speaker should announce that the Oversight, Intelligence, Ways & Means and Judiciary committees are together conducting an impeachment inquiry.

As such the Judiciary committee will be coordinating the efforts and compiling the information derived from these investigations.

At this point, Nancy Pelosi is enabling Trump and the racist Republicans. They don’t want an impeachment trial in the Senate, and she is doing her best to ensure that does not happen.

Here are Nancy Pelosi’s excuses for not supporting Trump’s impeachment. These are all actual quotes:

Every House member takes an oath that includes the phrase “I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”

Nancy Pelosi is failing to fulfill her oath of office.

Well, even if he’s not convicted in the Senate, this will still put the GOP on record as supporting and voting for a President who’s been impeached. That’s honestly a tough choice for the majority of rational voters, even Republicans. Sure, his base will see it is validation of their support, but his base is a shrinking minority of the US population. I honestly don’t care what happens in the Senate. He’ll be convicted after he leaves office. Just impeach the mother fucker, and force him to do the walk of shame.

Recess is still on. Can we wait to start criticizing the House and their pace until they’re back in session? If impeachment goes to the Senate next year, when he’s even more insane, and the GOP has to vote to maintain him, is that such awful timing?

another nothingburger. It has no more significance than if any standing committee requested documents from another committee.

Today, oral arguments are being held in the Deutsche Bank documents case appeal. If Nadler was serious about an actual impeachment inquiry, he would have filed either an amicus brief in that case, or requested intevenor status, in order to argue that the House needs the documents as part of an impeachment inquiry.

This is turning into a bad farce. A couple of days ago, Neal requested that the District Court “expedite” consideration of the lawsuit that would force Trump to finally give up his tax returns as required by law. And what is Neal’s idea of “expedited”? A schedule that means that oral arguments won’t be held until well after October 25, and a decision after that.

And of course that decision will be appealed.

ETA: Just noticed this, and its more evidence that this is Kayfabe – Nadler did not request any documents from the Ways and Means committee. In other words, Nadler didn’t even bother to request the information regarding the recently disclosed “whistleblower” accusation that there was interference in the auditing of Trump’s tax returns.

We do not necessarily need a Senate removal of Trump, we need very public hearings that will discredit and disgrace Trump and his administration to such a degree that come November, 2020 Trump could not get elected to be dog-catcher, much less a second term as President.
