I see their logic now! The suspect attacked the officerâs fist with his face. The suspect attacked the officerâs knee with his neck. The suspect attempted to steal the officers bullet by running away.
Ah, the good ol 76th precinct. Iâm in the same area for work and have been screwed by cops lying about traffic violations. Standard cop fare and far less traumatizing, I know. But Iâve also been hit by a cop car going in reverse at speed while I was at a dead stopâŚin front of 12 other cops including a lieutenant. Guess how that one ended? You got it! Nobody âsaw a thingâ and of course the officer who hit me puts in his report I was the one who hit HIM, despite him and his lieutenant claiming theyâd report the real event after I got suspicious and firmly pressed them on it, realizing the game that was about to be played. No surprise that the lie still made it into the report but luckily I had photos and extensive notes I took immediately after. My insurance took it all and were actually horrified by the story, and dealt with it excellently (State Farm). And that was that. Too bad there isnât insurance for being black in America.
When I called Baker back, he told me that my wife and the three others were mistaken. The car hadnât hit the kid. The kid had hit the car.
âWe are now pursuing charges against the kid for damaging a police vehicle and for inflicting severe emotional trauma on the officers in the vehicle.â
New footage out of Philly shows the cops were lying about the protests on the highway when they gassed and pepper sprayed all those people trapped on the side of the highway. No one rocked any cars and the audio is cops reporting that the protesters are peaceful. Cops are compulsive liars and professional gang members. Fire them all and start over.
de Blasio sorta kinda tried to rein this in, or at least put on a nice public show, but it mostly didnât go anywhere. Yeah, they technically ended S&F, but they found ways around it. They always do and they always will. He didnât stand a chance, assuming he even wanted to do anything about it. Cuomoâs run circles around him, and heâs got far less pull than the NYPD, the largest PD in the country and bigger than some countriesâ military. To fix this will take a coordinated federal, state and local effort, akin to how the south was desegregated, with federal intervention and troops. I think it can be done and I hope it will be done. But it would be a massive and literally bloody undertaking as these guys play for keeps and are more lethal and out of control than the mob. Itâs the mob with more members and weapons, with the law on its side. And thatâs the approach that has to be taken, an anti-racketeering one, going after a mob with deep connections inside the legal and political system, and lots of social sympathy.
I also expect local PDs all over the country to actively try to help Trump win, the way they did in 2016, only this time by allowing a climate of lawlessness to pervade in the hopes that voters reelect Trump on a law and order platform, fearing that Biden, a liberal, will be soft on crime.
