There are no plans to change the 2020 Republican National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina from its at least partial in-person format when it formally nominates President Donald Trump, according to Republican Party chair Ronna McDaniel.
I hope the venue had the wherewithal to add a steep fee for deep cleaning once the convention is over. And maybe add that they have to bring their own toilet paper, just for shits and giggles.
I don’t care how many temperatures they take, and how many masks they (haphazardly for sure) wear, the end result here will be to spew super spreaders all over the country. If they could all just die, fine. But they’ll infect innocent people, and burden hospitals and healthcare workers. This is totally irresponsible.
And will they wear masks? Wouldn’t that be the wrong optic – and of course Pence and Trump don’t. So I think there will be a lot of delegates flying their freedumb flags high even if some do try to protect themselves.
So there will be a those on a ventilator only section? I wonder if the RNC will pick up the hospital bills for attendees that get hospitalized 2 weeks after the convention?
I’m all for culling that particular herd. But just think of all the local hospitality workers, etc who will be, in effect, held hostage by that convention.
