Murkowski Won’t Sponsor Senate Condemnation Of Impeachment Investigation

Like Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME), Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AL) will not co-sponsor Sen. Lindsey Graham’s (R-SC) resolution to condemn the House impeachment investigation.

This is exactly the correct response to this garbage resolution. Lindsay Graham is simply trying to muddy the waters in a vain attempt to distract from the almost inevitable impeachment of Donald Trump. I’m bringing extra popcorn.

Slightly different person, same script. Probably see a few more of these.

I wonder what will happen if the evidence against Trump becomes public and overwhelming enough that the people turn against him and strongly want him impeached…if we really get to that point, Republicans will either have to choose to exonerate Trump despite popular understanding of his crimes, or twist themselves around to explain how the “awful process” resulted in catching Trump doing bad things. I don’t see how they can do both honestly, but honesty doesn’t seem to be a Republican issue now, and that’s not just because of Trump.

Seems like the entire GOP owes Bill Clinton an apology for his impeachment.

A Collinsian statement, but not coming from Sen. Collins, maybe it’s meaningful. Extremely cubed!

Collins is sure to drop heavy hints that she will likely probably in most scenarios for sure listen to her conscience do the right thing and lean toward voting for conviction and removal from office. Until it’s time to vote. Then she won’t.

Ah, so the transcript is not complete…

Wonder when the GOP hit-job on her is scheduled to take place and what form it will be in.

Anyone with a shred of integrity understands what Maloney is saying.

But what about Senate Republicans?

Usually you have to catch your sister in bed with one of the neighbor’s dogs to have that kind of reaction.*

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.**

**Well, there is, but who am I to judge?

She’s trying to have it both ways. That won’t work out well for many of them. They’re going to end up pissing off both their base AND swing voters. There’s absolutely no basis for saying that Dems have mishandled impeachment, at least from the right (you could argue that they should have been more aggressive earlier, but that’s now a moot point), and she’s going to have to be made to answer for that. What have they handled poorly? Dems and the media have to stop letting them get away with even relatively minor bullshit, as it adds up and turns into major bullshit eventually. It’s like saying that the debt is crushing us and needs to be paid off (it’s not and it doesn’t). I hate it when they get away with such shit. Even some Dems do this, paroting RWTPs. Weak and stupid.

Lindsey Graham’s rationalizations concerning the impeachment of Bill Clinton vs. those concerning the impeachment of Donald Trump prove beyond a shadow of doubt that he is a political cross dresser with no ethics, morals, or fidelity to the U.S. Constitution.

Graham is a political whore, and for all we know an actual one. I’ve never heard him deny it, after all, and he’s so easy to get on bended knee.
