Domestically any GOP politician will be primaried for not going along to get along. That is probably the least of their worries as, having allied with Putin, more permanent arrangements are in store for anyone not cooperating. Threats abound; and not just from MAGA.

And like those in the military senators are serving their country as well. They take the oath to protect and defend the Constitution from all enemies both foreign and domestic. Most senators probably never imagined that taking a stand involved putting their life on the line but it does and here we are at that moment. Time for some courage.

No⌠She did run and win as a write-in candidate in 2010, when she lost the Republican primary. But she did not need to change her party affiliation to do so.
Her most recent reelection was under new election rules which appears to be a jungle-type primary among all candidates, and then a ranked-choice general election between the top four⌠so her main opponent was also Republican but neither had to change their party affiliation.

According to the Florida native, Ikner touted right wing conspiracy theories and hateful ideas. Among them was a theory that President Joe Biden illegally came into office, âRosa Parks was in the wrongâ and Black people were ruining his neighborhood.
âI remember thinking this man should not have access to firearms,â Luzietti told USA TODAY. But, âwhat are you supposed to do? His mother was a cop and Florida doesnât have very strong red flag laws.â
Red flag laws allow people concerned over someone in crisis to petition a court to remove their access to guns.
Ikner made it clear to the class that he had guns, the Tallahassee State College student said.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. â In Gov. Ron DeSantisâ State of the State address on Tuesday, he made it clear that he wants to do away with Floridaâs red flag law.
The law, enacted in 2018 and signed into law by Gov. Rick Scott, came after the 17 lives lost in the mass shooting in Parkland, and 49 people were gunned down at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando.
