Mulvaney Brushes Off Trump Criticism | Talking Points Memo

Former acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney isn’t worried about President Trump’s re-election prospects in light of former National Security Adviser John Bolton’s damning tell-all book recalling his experiences in the Trump administration.

Pay no attention to the people who know what really happened and have first hand experience of just how compromised and incompetent Trump truly is!

I wonder if Mulvaney feels the same way about criticisms of Biden.

So for how many “Scaramucci’s” do you have to have worked in the Oval Trailer to have enough material for a juicy tell all book?

I’m guessing 0.25 or less.

Mulvaney is worthless. Who cares what he has to say?

He’s enjoying his time in South Carolina now fighting off the virus that his Dear Leader is unable to contain.

Good luck with that Mick.

“I don’t think most voters really care what (former Secretary of State Rex) Tillerson thinks about the President

But we do care what Tillerson, Mattis, Kelly, McMaster, Bolton, Comey, and others think about Trump, and they don’t have anything good to say.

Mick, is it OK if we Beltway Outsiders criticize Trump [and you] about all the other stuff?

Not to mention Pelosi, Biden, Sanders, Lewis, Harris, Schiff, Ocasio-Cortez, and numerous others who have long been even more clear-eyed than Trump’s Republican critics.

“If there was one criticism that I would level against the President it’s that he didn’t hire very well,”

Soooooo true…

“If there was one criticism that I would level against the President it’s that he didn’t hire very well,” Mulvaney told CNN anchor Jim Sciutto in an interview on Friday. “He did not have experience in running government and didn’t know how to put together a team that could work well with him.”

Translation:
He fired everyone that wasn’t a brown-nosing toady and ass-kissing sycophant. Since he now employs only brown-nosing toadies and ass-kissing sycophants, he’s obviously doing much better as they follow his directions while he careens the ship of state down the road, over the guard rails and into the abyss.

I bet he whistles past graveyards too.

Any other election cycle he might have a point, not this time. People are paying attention. And in Trump’s case, that is not a good thing.

Hiring well would have required a pivot and he’s saving the pivot for his second term. Honest, he’s going to pivot. Just give us four more years. Trust us.

In the meantime, our stable genius president is just dropping those pearls:

Trump says “some people” can’t figure out what the “19” in COVID-19 is for. “I said, that’s an odd name,” he adds. He continues:

“Some people call it the Chinese flu. The China flu. Right? They call it the Chi-NA, as opposed to China. The Chi-NA.”

Daniel Dale says he doesn’t have any idea what Trump means by that and if anyone does, get in touch. Daniel Dale on the Twitters, if you can help.

As for me, if there were one nice thing that I could say about Chiselin’ Trump, it would be that he’s an asshole.
