As a lifetime Arizonan (been here since I was 17), I can tell you Wendy Rogers is a real POS. She is anti-Semitic, homophobic, racist a white power kind of girl. To top that off, she is crazy. And yet our governor Ducey says of her she is still better than her opponent.
And therein lies the problem. Here in Mesa AZ, if Satan himself were running as a Republican against a Democrat named Jesus Christ, 90% of the Republicans would vote for Satan and the other 10% would not vote or would find an alternate candidate. The one thing they would not be able to do is vote for a Democrat. They have been completely brainwashed about the evils of Democrats and they believe every word of it.

In my 5 + decades of voting and watching government there have been idiot democrats however far far fewer than among the republicans. I have read up on what the candidate stands for and then thought carefully about my vote. I don’t vote reflexively based on a D or an R after someone’s name on a ballot… But I’ve yet to pull the lever (so to speak) for a GOPer
