How can anyone NOT see that today’s republican party is a JOKE.
I am sick of Both-siderism by much of the mainstream media, the only way I can see that they are not headlining every day what traitorous bastards are in the party is that they are being payed off.
It is clear that a large portion of the Republican Party is composed of and supports insurrection, voter suppression, hate, white supremacy, racism and antisemitism. They are a traitorous fifth column lodged within the US body politic. They hate America and all it stands for. No wonder they love Putin.
They MUST be exercised for the health of our country and health of our democracy.
The inmates are running the asylum.
They exist to please one person, with the support of millions of voters.
At least until those millions of voters prove otherwise.
November is coming. These candidates’ misdeeds will be part of every campaign they are part of (and I get that not all of them might be up for re-election). America needs to do what Ukraine is doing - stand up to these traitors and send them packing.
Poor little McConnell, forced to almost denounce Nazism in his party. Wear it loud and proud, Republicans. Watching as 75%+ of Americans rally for Ukraine and against Putin must have put a scare into the GOP old boys club.

In truth, the GOP created a Big Brother for their rank-and-file to follow. Trump just came along and claimed to be that “Big Brother” and he fit the mold well enough that their followers followed him. But he lacks the conviction and the attention span to truly inhabit the role long-term and I think their support is starting to fracture, especially the longer he remains out of the spotlight.
They’re shifting back to hunting for the true-Big Brother, who’s still out there, they know it. They are scorpions all the way down…
so, should we be glad that it was 24-3, or appalled that it wasn’t 26-1?

When the GOPers get a jigsaw puzzle, they try to hammer the pieces together to get the image they want, no matter how they really fit. They can’t accept that the image may be different than what they want. There is a chosen one, a Great White Hope out there. They know it because the leadership has been promising He exists for generations.

It should be said: we are in just as much of a cold-but-active LITERAL war with these people while everyone runs around pretending we’re not as we were with Putin while everyone ran around pretending we weren’t. That needs to start becoming a mainstream understanding of the GQP Trump KKKult and its base. They have no misunderstanding nor misgivings about it and it rules their thinking and their acts. They are relentlessly waging it with the correct characterization of it in their minds, understanding it for what it is and what they are doing. It’s time for the rest of us to step up to that understanding.
No bigger sin than saying the quiet part out loud and forcing the rest of them to have to deal with backlash for what they too believe but were trying to pretend they don’t.
