Linda Beigel Schulman, the mother of a teacher who was killed in the Parkland school shooting, issued an emotional plea to Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) on Monday to publicly come forward and disavow conspiracy theories the congresswoman pushed in the past.
âSo I do say to Marjorie Taylor Greene: please, you know what, find your conscience,â Schulman said. âYouâre a mother â man up or woman up, whatever you want to say â and tell the truth. Tell everybody what you told me.â
Her son was taken from her.

i watched this segment live earlier today, it was totally heart wrenching. and the juxtaposition between Greene and this bereaved articulate mother is just so plain. We are better than they are

All this does for MTG is make her look crass, which in T**** followersâ eyes make her look tough. To the rest of the world she just look craven, and needy for attention.
So I took a little look-see at her House page and under issues she has 8 topics listed, and of those 8 there are directions to contact her staff for 5 of them. Under 2 of them 2A and Protecting the Unborn there is a sentence. Now I realize that this is template that any member of Congress can use, but someone who was elected to Congress not to have something up in each of the categories is just lazy. Why hasnât she hired a PR person?
Why should Greene ever come clean? She has successfully conned millions into believing her. She is thereby the recipient of numerous cash donations. And, she is the new Sarah Palin of the right. (Oh, right â she should because ethics & morals â as if that could mean anything to a con-woman.)
As to the suckers who fall for her lies, the Turkish proverb fits them: âWhen the axe came into the forest, the trees said: the handle is one of us.â

Itâs the mediaâs fault for reporting those things she said that she now denies having said. Just like Trump questioned whether that was his voice on the Access Hollywood tape.

Marjorie Taylor Greene disavowing conspiracy theories is about as likely as Hannibal Lecter disavowing cannibalism.
The problem is Greene isnât a fictional character like Lecter.

I listened to this and wept for this mother and her loss. Even though still grieving the loss of her son, she was able to have a conversation with Taylor-Greene - a woman who spouted lies about the death of Linda Beigel Schulmanâs son. I doubt Taylor-Greene will be moved to issue any public statement disavowing previous statements. The party that continues to support Taylor-Greene and facilitated her election should be ashamed.
