The crooks among them have been doing it for years.

From what I experienced, the Moscow subway system is, like NYC’s, broadly utilized, and is probably a significant transmission vector. Hopefully the models showing that even imperfect masks will help are correct.

I honestly don’t get the utility of gloves, though. Once a person touches anything the gloves are no longer sterile, and covid-19 doesn’t infect through the skin, so what’s the point?

And, Donnie’s warm feelings for Vlad aside, his allies will happily cite this as an example of how social distancing and pandemic control measures are evidence of an emergent tyranny.

“They wanna be just like Russia…”

Those who disagree publicly with this policy may find themselves falling out of windows.

Like masks, gloves you’re wearing can “remind” you not to touch your face.

If you change them frequently enough, they can also help curtail the spread of the virus.

They aren’t any sort of magic solution.

In Moscow, mask wears you…

since touching surfaces spread the virus to other locations, having a barrier between your hand and the balance rail can keep it from getting onto your hand and then from accidentally touching your face or hair

I’m wearing gloves when I go to markets. I could be handling things that have been handled by a ton of people before me, I handle the stuff I’ve brought home and then dispose of the gloves. Not, it’s not a perfect situation, but the alternative is to leave my packages out for 24 hours to make sure any germs have died.
