I looked up Bernie Mereno on the wiki. He was born in Colombia, his family immigrated to FL when he was five. His father was a doctor and held high-ranking positions in the Colombian government.
I think don’t think in Miami his parents had the same status as back home. I also think that Bernie, at 57 wasn’t hearing some of the stories the I and others shared about the women in our families pre Roe and pre Birth Control.
I’m not trying to excuse him, I just think he wasn’t paying attention.

I hope the Ohio court agrees that these alleged crimes are prosecutable and returns arrest warrants against both Vance and TMF. Not holding my breath, but looking at the requested charges, there are several felonies included. Ol’ JockDisease Vance is one who really needs to “find out.” It would be sweet to see the Senator from Ohio sitting in an Ohio state prison.
