hummm … but will it turn out that amazingly only 30% of the Democrats are recorded as voting … while an amazing 84% of the Republicans are recorded as voting?

All well and good, but we need a new metric, something along the lines of ‘Democrat who actually votes’ -vs- what we have today with the stay home and pout crowd.

The OC is no longer on Fox.

With almost as many non voters as voters, the key to victory is not compromising your values in order to appeal to the mythical Moderate Republican’t or the even more mythical Republican’t Embarrassed by Trump (you’d have a better chance of finding a leprechaun riding a unicorn on an alien spaceship), it is giving people more incentive to register to vote as Democrats, and then get them to actually turn out and vote for Democrats.

The state’s GOP chairman, Shawn Steel, said the shift was the result of “a tremendous outflow of people leaving California.”

Latino people do not particularly self identify as liberal. There once were a half dozen Republicans who understood this, but they got trumped.

What is with all the cynicism? Obviously enough Democrats voted to flip all Republican seats in OC in 2018. Let’s enjoy our successes and work for more rather than wallow in doom and gloom.

Of course by “people” he meant Rich White People…

If you are talking about count manipulation by election officials… Judging by 2018 election, when Republicans led in several seats on the election day but lost everywhere after absentee votes were counted days (and I believe weeks) later, I do not think this will happen in the Orange county.

“We’ve been an out-migration state for 20 years, and that’s particularly acute in the suburbs,” Steel told the LA Times.

Code-Speak for “White Flight”.

Yeah, that’s why Republicans are losing in Orange County, CA. NOT ENOUGH WHITE PEOPLE ANYMORE.

Can the rank racism of the Republican Party be any clearer?

Democrats pay attention to Texodus and fund candidates that can beat the Rs!

BTW, DNC Tom Perez, talk to the 20+ Dem prez candidates and ask them NOT to attack each other viciously because it gives the R more material to campaign against them. More important, it demeans and diminishes the Ds!

As a native I can tell you they have used this same excuse for decades. People are always “fleeing” CA for one reason or another and I always laugh and wish it were true.

Hilarious! Not only do Republicans blame immigration, they’re now blaming emigration!

The overall population is growing. The technology sector is growing. The overall economy is growing. Maybe the right people are fleeing?

It’s much harder to see now that they’ve been emboldened to ditch their white hoods and robes and express their racism undisguised. Guy walking down the street in white hood and robe: Racist. Guy walking down the street: Hard to tell until he speaks or otherwise self-identifies as a Republican’t…

Must Credit Wonkette!

Areas of the country where people value the fabric of the country more than another tax cut or wallow in racism will tend Democratic.

This suggests to me the “real” America -if you’re referring to American values - is blue America.
