Safe choice, pro-weed state and safely out of the clutches of Border Patrol (100 mile radius from the US borders, which encompasses two-thirds of the US population). But now the MLB pitchers will boycott.

Colorado has established a safe vote-by-mail system. Blue Governor. Legal weed. Essentially, pro-people. Rob Manfred said explicitly what this move is all about. Gov. Kemp does not play nice with others, so we’ll take our game elsewhere. You lose.

In an unrelated development, the Colorado legislature immediately passed a bill prohibiting voters from wearing MAGA or Q hats, sporting mullets or 80’s hair, or t-shirts of 80’s heavy metal hair bands like Quiet Riot and Megadeth. Denying that it was targeted at white voters, a spokesman claimed that it was merely to make the voting experience pleasant for all.

Best state I’ve ever lived in when it comes to voting. It should be the model for the country.

Masque of the derp death. And to correct the article, “full immunity” means the maximum immunity the vaccine can give you, which is not 100 percent. Fully vaccinated, you are still vulnerable to infection, just a lot less so than when unvaccinated.

but since full immunity doesn’t kick in until after the second dose, he would have still been vulnerable to infection.

Equally OT, something interesting has been initiated at my Target store:

Last night, for the first time, I heard an automated announcement that appears to be set to repeat every 30 minutes. The message tells customers that masks should be worn in the store. If you don’t have one, we can provide you with one. If you want to shop without a mask (and this is the key phrase here), you are welcome to check out your order in our contactless checkout lines (meaning, self checkout) in order to protect our employees (yes, they really do say that - protecting our coworkers!).

Now, no one is enforcing that and it did only start yesterday, as I waited on several customers without masks (and am seeing FAR more maskless since the WI SC rescinded any further mask mandates initiated by the Governor).

Our side of Wisconsin is behind the curve on vaccinations - the numbers you see about our stellar performance are all in the big cities in the East. Here in the western part of the State, folks can’t even get appointments, though they are eligible. We also have a big influx from Minnesota, being a border town as well as many residents who cross to MN to work because the wages are better.

I’ll be interested to see if management begins routing maskless customers to the self check-out lanes. It hasn’t reached that point yet, nor do they enforce the rule at the door that masks must be worn to enter this store.

Meanwhile, Team Biden’s goal of 200 million covid vaccine doses by April 30 is actually within reach, and the plan to expand eligibility by May 1 will reportedly shift forward to April 19.
