Minnesota Officials Remind Residents Trump Admin's Aim Is to Provoke

In the immediate aftermath of an ICE agent killing a woman in Minnesota on Wednesday, officials urged residents of the state to not take the “bait” and give the Trump administration the justification if wants to create a “military occupation.” Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) announced Wednesday afternoon that the state had activated its State…

As many others have noted, we’ve gone from administrations that ignored Twitter because it wasn’t representative of reality to an administration that ignores reality because it isn’t Twitter. The crappy Trump version of the situation room photo showed the clown crew with multiple tabs open on Twitter because they need the validation of their loser friends and bot accounts.

Trump’s thugs kill again. It’s domestic terrorism, alright. Except the perpetrators are the government.

Question: if we continue to be “calm” and “Minnesota Nice”, how can we exercise our rage and get Trump kicked out of office? Not to mention Nosferatu Miller and ICE Barbie Noem?

I understand that letting the wild rumpus begin is what Trump wants, since he’s itching to call out the Insurrection Act and put the country under military rule. So that’s probably unwise. But surely there are nonviolent actions that we Americans can (and must) take??

Seriously – it will be hard to take another year of this, much less three years. The house is burning down around us.

No hate means protest without rocks and nasty words that may hurt their fee-fees. More No Kings protests.

We can’t give him the excuse to send in the military and then take over the national guard.

Good points.

It’s particularly hard to protest peacefully when they’re shooting us.

The national guard will come in. It will be under the command of the governor of Minnesota. Waltz has already made it clear that their job is to protect the people.

Some thoughts on how to keep the situation from getting out of hand and giving Trump the excuse he wants.

Identify, arrest and charge the ICE agent with excessive use of force causing death. Give him the full Derek Chauvin treatment… under state law. Minnesota has experience with this.

If Walz calls up the state National Guard to maintain order under his direction and control, can Trump come along and try to nationalize them? Protect the people from ICE and ICE from the people. Keep them separate. Keep ICE from inciting violence by keeping ICE and the people out of reach of each other.

Are you sending Trump to his room without dinner?

Why does any reporter bother asking any member of Congress, particularly those of the GOP persuasion, what they think about any given Trump action? They have no say in what he does, so who cares what they do say.

Nicole Good‘s murder is the result of a deliberate campaign to harass observers, so that ICE can operate in secret.

ICE’s violence toward peaceful protesters is to scare them enough they stop documenting them.

Terror.

State-sponsored terror.

The hope is that way, but if there are riots Walz will have to use the NG against the rioters to stop TSF nationalizing the Guard and getting what he wants by declaring the situation out of control.
It’s going to be an absolute mess whatever happens - best chance is to arrest the murderer ASAP but he’ll be out of state and beyond reach by now (of course, Gnome and the rest of them are arrogant incompetents, so he might still be there)
Lots of (hopefully) bots screaming at Walz on Bluseky, or they could be the unhinged purity sparklepony police, it’s hard to tell the difference.

Because they’ll get a quote, which gives them their story to file, which is what they’re getting paid for.

Step one in understanding behavior is always to look at what people are being rewarded for and what not.

They’ve lost control of the narrative and it’s becoming more obvious that violence is their only tool to maintain control.
